Baro d’evel
Falaise
Second part of the diptych, Là, sur la falaise
ToulouseFor children and families
Baro d’evel performs in Zurich for the first time! With «Falaise», this French-Catalan circus has created a magical and incomparable show. World-famous for its acrobatic virtuosity and breathtakingly beautiful, sophisticated stage designs, Baro d’evel creates contemporary Cirque Nouveau at its finest: aesthetics, storytelling, acrobatics and music are effortlessly combined.
The world of «Falaise» is mysterious, abstract and full of poetry. The artists move between huge wooden constructions, reminiscent of a surreal village-like landscape, and employ an extraordinary community – including a white horse and pigeons. The plot emerges from the strength of the characters, their movements and interactions. The animals are an integral part of the ensemble and transcend common notions of circus animals. They underline the fairytale-like, mystical stage creation, stamped with Baro d’evel’s unique signature that immediately captures one’s imagination.
«Falaise» is an extraordinary circus experience for the whole family, which will not be forgotten for a long time! (as)
