Good to know

Cash is welcome!

Most of the catering establishments on the Landiwiese accept Twint payment, some also accept card payment. Nevertheless, consider keeping some cash on hand for your visit to the Theater Spektakel. This speeds up payment and shortens queues. It also pleases the caterers who have to pay less fees – as well as the street artists who are essentially dependent on your donations for their shows. There is an ATM at the main entrance.

Live music

Concerts are held in the bars and restaurants on individual evenings. For daily updates, please visit theaterspektakel.ch.

Late-night appetite

The restaurant L’Andis accepts orders for hot meals up to 30 minutes after the end of the last performance.

Sustainability – what we do

The bars and restaurants on the Landiwiese play a major role in making the Theater Spektakel as environmentally friendly as possible. For more information on sustainability at the Zürcher Theater Spektakel, see here.

Precedence to regional produce Precedence is given to products and ingredients from Switzerland or, whenever possible, from the Zurich region. This applies to vegetable, fruit and especially meat. Fish and seafood originate from certified farms or from sustainable fisheries.

Re-use All dishes, glasses and cutlery are washed and re-used. Where this is not feasible, containers are used which can be composted and fermented afterwards. An exception is made for beer and mineral-water cups, which are made from recycled PET.

Collective orders With collective orders, the number of delivery trips is kept as low as possible.

Waste separation The waste is separated into recyclable material, organic and food waste (Kompogas) and residual waste, which is burnt. Separation stations facilitate the correct disposal of the various waste. All gastronomic services control the separation of their waste in order to keep the contamination of recyclable material as low as possible and to ensure an energy-efficient disposal.

Eco-friendly cleaning Biodegradable and eco-friendly EM detergents are used for all cleaning work.

Energy saving The gastronomic services use energy-saving lighting and bear a part of the additional costs arising from the festival’s exclusive use of solar energy.

Visitors are kindly requested to support the gastronomic services in their endeavours. Thank you!
