For people with restricted mobility

Wheelchair spaces

All venues and the entire festival site are wheelchair accessible. Please reserve your wheelchair space at the performances well in advance: 044 442 24 22 or e-mail to contact@theaterspektakel.dont-want-spam.ch. There are three wheelchair-accessible toilets, two of them with Eurokey.

Without language

No language skills are required for the productions listed here.

For the hearing impaired

Induction loop

In the productions listed here, the sound is amplified inductively.

Surtitles

All foreign-language productions are provided with German surtitles, in some cases also with English surtitles (exception: Short Pieces).

Sign language

The performances listed here are shown with translation into Swiss German sign language. Please note the designation in the programme.

For the visually impaired

Audio-description

Individual performances will be audio-described live. Please refer to the respective designation in the programme.

Tactile introductions

For the performance of «Ôss» on Fri 18.8., there will be a tactile introduction one hour before the performance starts, giving people with visual impairments additional orientation.

Tactile model

A tactile model of the festival site is situated at the main entrance to the Landiwiese.

Guide dogs

Guide dogs are admitted to all performances. Please register early via contact@theaterspektakel.dont-want-spam.ch or 044 442 24 22 and contact the admission staff at the respective venue at least 30 minutes before the performance begins.

Assisting people

Assistants of guests with disabilities are admitted free of charge to the performances. Please register early: contact@theaterspektakel.dont-want-spam.ch or 044 442 24 22.

SAFER SPACE

The Safer Space, located next to the ambulance unit at the main entrance, offers the possibility to retreat from the festival’s hustle and bustle. The Safer Space is barrier-free, wheelchair accessible and offers various comfortable seating options. The awareness team will give you access and can be reached on 077 279 00 94. For a barrier-free boat passage, please reserve assistance at least 24 hours before departure under 044 487 13 34.

In simple words

For each piece there is an extra paragraph on the website describing the show in way that is easy to understand. «In Simple Words» is aimed at people who have difficulties understanding long and complex texts in German or English.
