The Egyptian choreographers and dancers Noura Seif Hassanein and Salma Abdel Salam, skilfully mix pop elements from their teenage years with clichés from current virtual and real spaces. Sometimes they move sensually to ambient sounds, sometimes they dominate the stage as they headbang to dance classics, sometimes they stuff themselves with fast food to pop hits. In «NO MERCY», duo nasa4nasa portrays our oversaturated present, shaped by late capitalism, from a perspective of two women growing up in Egypt during the nineties. Fast-paced, rebellious – and with no mercy. (rb)
